Helping Families Find Closure – A Note from the FBI About the Civil Rights Cases
LSU Cold Case Project performs investigative research, conducts interviews, and provides information to news sites in Louisiana and Mississippi. As we interview witnesses and family members and work to uncover facts, we want to help give closure to families. We’ve posted a document with information from the FBI below in an attempt to help surviving family members be found and find closure.
The FBI Continues to Re-Assess Cases
The FBI continues its work on re-assessing racially motivated homicides from the civil rights era. Below is a document containing the names of victims from that period. The FBI is currently searching for next-of-kin for the remaining unsolved cases in hopes of providing information to the victims’ families.
If you or anyone you know is related to the below victims, please contact your local FBI Office or the nearest American Embassy or Consulate.
